1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to BookMyDoc. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BookMyDoc mobile application ("App"), website ("Site"), and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use our Services independently.
- Minors (under 18) may use the Services only under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf.
- By using the Services, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and complete, and you agree to keep it updated.
- BookMyDoc reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel bookings at its sole discretion.
3. Description of Services
BookMyDoc is a healthcare technology platform that provides:
- Doctor Discovery: Search and browse verified doctors by specialty, location, availability, ratings, and consultation fees.
- Appointment Booking: Book, reschedule, or cancel appointments with registered doctors and healthcare providers.
- Digital Health Records: Store and access prescriptions, lab reports, and visit history digitally.
- Appointment Reminders: Receive notifications about upcoming appointments, doctor check-ins, and status updates.
- Payment Processing: Make consultation fee payments securely through our integrated payment gateway.
- Token System: Receive digital queue tokens for efficient clinic visit management.
Important Disclaimer: BookMyDoc is a technology platform that facilitates connections between patients and healthcare providers. We do not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or practice medicine in any form. The relationship is solely between you and your chosen healthcare provider.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Registration
- You must register for an account to access most features of the Services.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
- One person may maintain only one active patient account.
4.2 Doctor Accounts
- Doctors and healthcare providers must complete a verification process, including submission of valid medical registration documents.
- Doctors are solely responsible for the accuracy of their profile information, consultation fees, availability schedules, and qualifications displayed on the platform.
- BookMyDoc reserves the right to suspend or remove doctor profiles that fail verification or violate our guidelines.
5. Appointments & Booking
5.1 Booking Terms
- All appointments are subject to doctor availability and confirmation.
- Booking an appointment constitutes a request; confirmation is received once the booking is processed and payment (if applicable) is completed.
- BookMyDoc does not guarantee that a doctor will be available at the exact scheduled time. Wait times may vary based on clinic operations.
5.2 Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Patients may cancel or reschedule appointments through the App in accordance with the cancellation policy.
- Cancellation before 4 hours: Full refund of consultation fee (if prepaid).
- Cancellation within 4 hours: Partial refund or no refund may apply, depending on the doctor's/clinic's cancellation policy.
- No-shows: If you fail to arrive for your appointment without prior cancellation, no refund will be provided.
- Doctors may cancel or reschedule appointments due to emergencies. In such cases, patients will receive a full refund and priority rebooking.
5.3 Token System
- Tokens represent your position in the doctor's daily consultation queue.
- Token numbers are assigned based on booking order and appointment time.
- Token assignment does not guarantee an exact consultation time.
6. Payments, Fees & Refunds
6.1 Consultation Fees
- Consultation fees are set by individual doctors/clinics and displayed on their profiles. BookMyDoc does not control or set these fees.
- Fees may vary based on consultation type (in-person, follow-up, etc.) and are subject to change at the doctor's discretion.
- All fees displayed are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
6.2 Payment Methods
BookMyDoc supports multiple payment methods through our integrated payment gateway:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay
- UPI: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and all UPI-enabled apps
- Net Banking: All major Indian banks
- Digital Wallets: Paytm, PayPal, and other supported wallets
- Cash at Clinic: Pay directly at the clinic (where enabled by the doctor)
6.3 Payment Processing
- All online payments are processed through RBI-authorized, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, or equivalent).
- BookMyDoc does not store credit/debit card numbers on its servers. Payment data is tokenized and encrypted per RBI guidelines.
- By making a payment, you authorize us to charge the specified amount to your chosen payment method.
- Payment confirmations are sent via SMS, email, and in-app notification.
6.4 Platform Fee
- BookMyDoc may charge a nominal platform/convenience fee on certain transactions. This fee will be clearly displayed before payment confirmation.
- Platform fees are non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a fault on BookMyDoc's end.
6.5 Refund Policy
- Prepaid Appointments (Cancelled by Patient): Refund per cancellation policy (Section 5.2).
- Cancelled by Doctor: Full refund within 3–5 business days.
- Payment Failures: If you are charged but the booking fails, the amount will be automatically refunded within 5–7 business days.
- Duplicate Payments: In case of duplicate charges, contact support for immediate resolution and refund.
- Refund Processing: Refunds are credited to the original payment method. UPI/wallet refunds typically take 2–3 business days; card refunds take 5–7 business days. Bank processing times may vary.
6.6 Disputes
For any payment-related disputes, contact our support team at support@bookmydoc.in within 30 days of the transaction. We will investigate and resolve disputes within 15 business days.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate any other user, doctor, or staff member.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other user accounts, or our systems.
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technology to access the Services.
- Post reviews or ratings that are false, defamatory, or incentivized.
- Engage in fraudulent bookings or payment manipulation.
- Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without prior notice.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content, design, logos, trademarks, software, and technology comprising the BookMyDoc Services are owned by or licensed to BookMyDoc and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on our Services without explicit written permission.
- User-generated content (reviews, feedback) grants BookMyDoc a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Services.
9. Disclaimers
- No Medical Advice: BookMyDoc provides a technology platform only and does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.
- Doctor Information: While we verify doctor credentials, we do not guarantee the accuracy of all information displayed on doctor profiles. Doctor ratings and reviews reflect individual patient experiences.
- Availability: We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Services.
- Third-Party Services: We are not liable for the services, actions, or omissions of doctors, clinics, payment gateways, or other third parties accessible through our platform.
- THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- BookMyDoc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to BookMyDoc in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- BookMyDoc is not responsible for the quality of medical services provided by doctors or clinics booked through the platform.
- We are not liable for any losses arising from payment gateway failures, banking system downtimes, or force majeure events.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BookMyDoc, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Services.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
- Any content you submit or transmit through the Services.
12. Termination
- You may deactivate your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting support.
- BookMyDoc may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without prior notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Grievance Officer

13.2 Arbitration
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that cannot be resolved through our grievance mechanism shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India, in English, by a sole arbitrator.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts of Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services.
